About this course

On 25th May 2018 new regulations are being introduced to oversee how businesses handle and store information and data.  The changes are wide-ranging and will affect everyone.

This short course will introduce you to the General Data Protection Requirement (GDPR) and show how it relates to you in your small business – whether you are a sole trader or registered company.

It will provide you with a basic understanding of what it is, what it means and where it came from, and what you should do about it in your business. Crucially it will provide an action plan and a toolkit to set you on the road to compliance.

Who is the course for?

The course is aimed at people for whom the Data Protection landscape is a bit of a mystery. The course will provide guidance on putting into practice the principles of GDPR within your business, and finally it will provide some basic templates to get started with compliance.

The course:

Should take around 60 minutes to complete.

Can be done any time of the day or night - 24/7 access.

Doesn't have to be completed in one go - you can return to it and pick it up after a break.

Gives you 90 days to access it - please note that as this is an evolving subject, the course will expire after 90 days. This is to ensure that when you sit the course the information is as up to date at that time.
